Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3010 BLANCHE STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3010 Blanche Street, Ipswich from Argyle Street to Hervey Street to facilitate street lighting and traffic signage works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Woodbridge Road, Argyle Street, Bolton Lane, Hervey Street with no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/11/2025 - 29/11/2025 from 8pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C949 HIGH STREET, ILKETSHALL ST MARGARET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C949 High Street, Ilketshall St Margaret from 600 metres east of the junction with Brook Lane for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate the connection of a new water service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be High Street, Halesworth Road, Grub Lane, Gavell Street, Rumburgh Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/11/2025 - 21/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
