What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 39, HAUGHLEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 39, Haughley from 70 metres south of the junction with Stowmarket Road for 200 metres southbound to facilitate resurfacing and kerb repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Stowmarket Road, Haughley Road, Moorbridge Lane, Footpath 47, Footpath 39 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/11/2025 – 29/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C630 INGHAM ROAD, WEST STOW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C630 Ingham Road, West Stow from West Stow Lodge for 30 metres southbound to facilitate maintenance to a water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be West Stow Road, The Green, the A1101, the B1106, Ingham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/11/2025 from 8am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C331 THE STREET, RUSHMERE ST ANDREW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C331 The Street, Rushmere St Andrew from Easton Place for 120 metres southbound to facilitate vehicular access and kerbing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Playford Road, the A1214, Rushmere Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 – 12/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3210 MILLENIUM WAY AND TERRY GARDENS, KESGRAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• U3210 Millenium Way, Kesgrave from 40 metres southeast of Century Drive for 25 metres southbound

• U3210 Terry Gardens, Kesgrave from Millenium Way to no. 5 Terry Gardens.

This is to facilitate a new service connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Century Drive, Ropes Drive, Jeavons Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 – 26/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C621 RATTLERS ROAD AND THE U6119 PINEWOOD DRIVE, BRANDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

? the C621 Rattlers Road, Brandon:

  1. from the junction of the A1065 to the junction with The Orchard

    2a. from the junction with The Orchard to the junction with Rowan Drive

    2b. from the junction with Rowan Drive to the junction with Elizabeth Road

    2c. from the junction with Elizabeth Drive to the junction with Stuart Close

    2d. from the junction with Stuart Close to the junction with Firs Way

  2. from the junction with B1106 to the junction with Walton Way

? Part of phase 2c: the U6119 Pinewood Drive, Brandon from the junction with Rattlers Road to Spinney Close.

This is to facilitate gas mains replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

? Phase 2d. 9/12/25 to 12/12/25

? Phase 3. 13/12/25 to 19/12/25

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5310 Hestley Green, Thorndon from 230 metres west of the junction with the B1077 for 40 metres westbound to facilitate repairs to a water meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rishangles Road, the B1077 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 - 21/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6456 Uthorpe Road, Stanton from the junction with Shepherds Grove for 200 metres northbound to facilitate gas main repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Uthorpe Road, Hepworth Road, The Street, Wyken Road, Walsham Road, Ixworth Road, Readings Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 – 21/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4522 Barretts Lane, Needham Market from the junction with Hurstea Road for 20 metres north eastbound to facilitate a manhole cover replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hursteal Road, the B1113 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/11/2025 from 7pm – 11pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C660 Dalham Road, Ousden from Dunstall Green to Jillings Farm Cottage to facilitate fibre network installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dunstall Green, Dunstall Green Road, Front Street, the B1085 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 – 21/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Thurston Road, The Planche, Church Road, Norton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/11/2025 – 20/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1079 Church Road, Otley from the junction with the B1079 Otley Bottom to the junction with High House Road to facilitate post and railing repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the B1079 Church Road, the B1078 Swilland Road, the B1077 The Green, the B1077 Helmingham Road, the B1079 Helmingham Road, Church Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/11/2025 from 8am – 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Church Road, the A137, Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/11/2025 from 9am – 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. ? U7058 Chapel Road, Ousden from Ladys Green to Sparrows Nest

    ? U7058 Ladys Green, Ousden from Chapel Road to Longford

  2. C661 Chevington Road, Hargrave from Wickhambrook Road to White House

  3. C661 Wickhambrook Road, Hargrave from Chevington Road to Alma Cottage.

This is to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Bury Road, Ladys Green, Ousden Road, The Green, Wickhambrook Road, Baxters Green and vice versa

  2. Wickhambrook Road, Ashfield Green, The Duddery, Church Road, the A143, the Street, Chevington Road, Chedburgh Road and vice versa

  3. The Duddery, Church End, the A143, The Street, Chevington Road, Chedburgh, Chedburgh Road, Hargrave Road, Chevington Road, Hargrave and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

• 1. 18/11/2025 – 24/11/2025

• 2. 25/11/2025 – 02/12/2025

• 3. 03/12/2025 – 12/12/2025

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U7224 Waterhall Road, Wixoe from 45 metres west of Stour Vale for 60 metres westbound

  2. U7224 Church Lane, Wixoe from the junction with Church View for 60 metres north westbound

  3. U7224 Church Lane, Wixoe from 100 metres southwest of The Lodge for 60 metres south westbound

  4. U7224 Church Lane, Wixoe from the junction with the A1092 for 100 metres westbound

  5. C674 Boyton End, Stoke by Clare from the junction for 60 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate pole testing and cabling works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

Phase 1 - 4:

Phase 5:

  4. 21/11/2025 - 22/11/2025

  5. 22/11/2025

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 23, CREETING ST PETER

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the Footpath 23, Creeting St Peter from 1915 metres north of the junction with Stowmarket Road for 95 metres southbound to all pedestrian traffic. This is for safety reasons to enable repairs to a damaged boardwalk. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Footpath 24, Footpath 8, Stowmarket Road, Footpath 22, Footpath 39, Footpath 2, Footpath 14, Footpath 23 and vice versa.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 27/10/2025.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 26/04/2026, but if necessary the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C496 GIPPING ROAD, STATION ROAD AND GREYHOUND CORNER AND THE C492 IPSWICH ROAD, GREAT BLAKENHAM AND CLAYDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C496 Gipping Road, Great Blakenham from 40 metres northwest of the level crossing to 40 metres southeast of the level crossing to facilitate level crossing testing and maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Station Road, Greyhound Corner, Ipswich Road, the B113, Gipping Road and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the:

  • C496 Station Road, Claydon

  • C496 Greyhound Corner, Claydon

  • C492 Ipswich Road, Claydon from the roundabout with the A14 offslip to the junction with Greyhound Corner.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11pm on 17/11/2025 – 6am on 18/11/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/11/2025 – 18/11/2025 from 9.30am – 5pm.

The diversion route will be Bacon Road, Edinburgh Gardens, York Crescent and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/11/2025 – 28/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
