Scottish Borders, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
(ELIOTS PARK, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Eliots Park, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 19 November 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 2 December 2025. The Order is required for SPEN works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Eliots Park, Peebles.
There is no alternative route. Local access will be maintained.

(BONNINGTON ROAD, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Bonnington Road, Peebles) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 21 November 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00. The Order is required for removal of portakabin and temporary accommodation units from the High School.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or be parked on both sides of Bonnington Road, Peebles from Springwood Road to Kingswood Lodge.

(STATION BANK, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Station Bank, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 19 November 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water ironwork repairs.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Station Bank, Peebles.
A temporary two-way traffic lights system shall be in operation on the A703 for essential ironwork repair. Upon completion of works a three-way traffic lights system is required to reinstate ironwork access to Station Bank, Peebles.

(CHAMBERS STREET, INNERLEITHEN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Chambers Street, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 November 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water ironwork repairs.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Chambers Street, Innerleithen.
The alternative routes are as follows:
(i) northbound traffic is via Chambers Street, Buccleuch Street, A72, Princes Street and Chambers Street to the point of closure;
(ii) southbound traffic is via Chambers Street, Buccleuch Street, Montgomery Street, Princes Street, A72, Buccleuch Street and Chambers Street to the point of closure;
(iii) eastbound traffic is via Chambers Street, Horsbrugh Street, Montgomery Street, Buccleuch Street and Chambers Street to the point of closure; and
(iv) westbound traffic is via Chambers Street, Princes Street, A72, Buccleuch Street and Chambers Street to the point of closure.
