Darlington - Temporary Road Closures due to Sewer Maintenance Works

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
LODGE STREET AND HAUGHTON ROAD BACK STREET, RUSSELL STREET NORTH BACK, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
LODGE STREET AND HAUGHTON ROAD BACK STREET – Entirely
RUSSELL STREET NORTH BACK – Entirely
The Order is necessary to allow works by Northumbrian Water to construct a new manhole and carry out lining works to the sewers.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 8th December 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks.
