What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN A41 (UNNAMED ROAD), 

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A41 (unnamed road), Hemel Hempstead from a point 2108m north west of its junction with the A41 Watford Road/M25 (junction 20) roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 2801m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road/London Road) and A41 Two Waters Way.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead/Northchurch , HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with B4505 Box Lane north eastwards to its junction with the A4146 Station Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1851m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road),

High Street, Chipperfield Road, Tower Hill, Chapel Croft, Langley Road, Chipperfield Road, Vicarage Lane and A4251 (Hempstead Road/London Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CEMMAES COURT ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cemmaes Court Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the western boundary of No.2 Cemmaes Court Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 36m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Cemmaes Court Road, Collett Road, Cotterells Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Warners End Road, Bury Hill and Cemmaes Court Road.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHARF LANE, NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wharf Lane, Northchurch from a point 107m north west of its junction with Norcott Hill south eastwards for a distance of approximately 49m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route for traffic will be via Wharf Lane, Norcott Hill, Norcott Farm Lane and Wharf Lane.

The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
