HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORTH KESTEVEN DISTRICT COUNCIL

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 8 DIGBY

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order made on 30 October 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert that whole width of part of Public Footpath No.8 in the parish of Digby running from the public highway known as North Street at OSGR 508211 355511 (Point A) in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 41 metres to OSGR 508175 355490 (Point B) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 82 metres to OSGR 508138 355417 (Point C) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 134 metres to OSGR 508044 355321 (Point D) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 40 metres to OSGR 508032 355282 (Point E) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 18 metres to OSGR 508019 355269 (Point F) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 17 metres to OSGR 508005 355260 (Point G) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 8 metres to OSGR 508000 355254 (Point H). The total length of footpath to be diverted is approximately 340 metres as shown between points A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H on Order drawing numbered CDD/25/365/02 TO AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE in the parish of Digby to be a public footpath varying between approximately 2.7 metres and 3.6 metres in width running from the public highway known as North Street at OSGR 508212 355462 (Point N) in a generally westerly direction for approximately 19 metres to OSGR 508193 355455 (Point M) then continuing in a generally southerly direction for approximately 98 metres to OSGR 508208 355360 (Point L) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 13 metres to OSGR 508199 355350 (Point K) then continuing in a generally westerly direction for approximately 186 metres to OSGR 508013 355350 (Point J) then continuing in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 16 metres to terminate at an unaffected part of Public Footpath Number 8 at OSGR 507999 355342 (Point I). The total length of footpath to be added is approximately 332 metres as shown between points N-M-L-K-J-I on Order drawing numbered CDD/25/365/02.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Mrs C Gray, Administration Manager, North Kesteven District Council, Kesteven Street, Eastgate, Sleaford, Lincolnshire NG34 7EF or e-mail: planning@n-kesteven.gov.uk not later than 18 December 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if so made are withdrawn, North Kesteven District Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. Any representations or objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation.
