SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH)
(STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019 (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (UNITY STREET (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION) ORDER 202-)
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 1 of Map Tile GN124 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tiles, into the above-named 2019 order, as amended. The effect of this would be to introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ on:
* Unity Street (Z5 U2002), Ipswich, on the north side from the northern boundary of property no. 15 in a westerly direction for a distance of 69 metres.
* Unity Street (Z5 U2002), Ipswich, on the western side, across the closed off end of the road for a distance of 6 metres
* Unity Street (Z5 U2002), Ipswich, on the south side from a point 8.5 metres east of the eastern boundary of property no. 12 for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.
Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3DE, 9am - 6pm Monday; 9am - 7pm Tuesday & Thursday; 9am - 6pm Wednesday & Friday; 9am - 7pm Saturday; 10am - 4pm Sunday.
