Green Road, The Green, Millom - Temporary Road Closure due to Level Crossing Maintenance Works

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing maintenance works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U4080 Green Road, The Green, near Millom, which extends for approx. 15 metres either side of the centre line of Green Road level crossing.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 22 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required between 23:15 hours on Saturday 22 November 2025 and 08:00 hours on Sunday 23 November 2025 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
