Flint, Temporary Road Closure & Speed Restriction Due To Gas Works

What is happening?

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

EWLOE

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Holywell Road Cut Off Yowley Road, Ewloe in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order came into force on the 10 November 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY 10MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINT

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which will prohibit any vehicles from being driven at a speed exceeding 10 mph on Caesar Avenue from its junction with A548 Chester Road and on A548 Chester Road, between its junctions with Croes Atti Lane and Albert Avenue, Flint, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the speed restriction is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The Order comes into force on the 17 November 2025 for 2 weeks, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months or until completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

Mae angen cau’r ffordd fel y gall Wales and West Utilities osod prif bibell nwy newydd ac ymgymryd â gwaith cysylltiedig.

Gosodir arwyddion addas i ddangos y ffordd arall i gerbydau. Canateir mynediad i gerddwyr drwy gydol y gwaith.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 10 Tachwedd 2025. Rhagwelir y bydd y ffordd ar gau am dair wythnos, neu lai os cwblheir y gwaith yn gynt, ond nid mwy na deunaw mis.
