Charles Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Unforeseen Circumstances
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a)
CHARLES STREET, CLEETHORPES (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO 25-196) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway: • CHARLES STREET- Part length from its junction with ST PETERS AVENUE in a south westerly direction for a distance of 290 metres.
The times for these works will take place between 19:00 on 8th December and 04:00 on 9th December 2025.
Alternate Route: St Peters Avenue, Mill Road, William Street, George Street (reverse route applies)
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North East Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as carriageway patching and road markings.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 08 December 2025, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Tuesday, 09 December 2025. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
