NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Middlewich Street, Crewe
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Middlewich Street, Crewe for the Full extent.
The alternative route will be via Vernon Way, Earle Street Roundabout, Earle Street, Manchester Bridge, Macon Way, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Crewe Road, Crewe Green Road Roundabout, Crewe Green Road, Crewe Road Roundabout, Sydney Road, Remer Street and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Saturday 14th February 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 22nd February 2026.
