NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER

Public Footpath, Mortimer Primary School, South Shields No. 35
Public Path Creation Order 2025
On 6 November 2025, The Borough of South Tyneside confirmed the above order made under
section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to create a Public Footpath with a width of 1.5 metres
commencing at Grid Reference NZ 3687, 6507 situated adjacent to 35 Ullswater Gardens, South Shields and proceeds in a north westerly direction for approximately 16 metres and then turns in a north easterly direction for approximately 149 metres and then turns in a north westerly direction for approximately 48 metres and then turns in a north easterly direction for approximately 67 metres to finish at grid reference NZ 3699, 6527, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed on deposit and may be inspected free of charge at the office of South Tyneside Council, Town Hall & Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear, NE33 2RL from 10a.m. to 3p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at a price of £10.
The order comes into force when South Tyneside Council certify that the new footpath has been created to its satisfaction. If any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, pursuant to paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the
Act, he or she may make an application to the High Court within six weeks from 19th November 2025
