River Lane, Market Weighton - Temporary Traffic Regulation

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC RIVER LANE AND
PART OF LONG LANE, MARKET WEIGHTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
River Lane and Part of Long Lane, Market Weighton
between 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours commencing
18 November 2025 until 24 November 2025 to allow
works for River Lane and Long Lane, Market Weighton.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within seven days. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via River Lane,
Holme Road, Holme Road Roundabout, Giant Bradley
Way, Oak Road, Cliffe Road and Long Lane,
Market Weighton CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
