Flawborough Road - Temporary Prohibition of Proceeding
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(FLAWBOROUGH ROAD, ALVERTON)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (N25-374)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Alverton in the District of Newark and Sherwood
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Flawborough Road, Alverton - From its junction with Newark Road, Alverton to its junction with Main Street, Flawborough
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 09:00 hours until 15:30 hours only From Thursday 20th November until Wednesday 26th November 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Flawborough Road - Main Street - Orston Lane - Longhedge Lane - Main Road - Elston Road - Cotham Road - Elston Lane - Station Road - Staunton Road - Grange Lane - Alverton Road - Alverton Newark Road - Alverton Road - Newark Road - Flawborough Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 20th November 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
