What is happening?

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (EDEN PARK ROUNDABOUT, STOCKPORT) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (7.5 TONNE HGV PROHIBITION) NOTICE 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph Speed Limit Zone at Turnpike Crescent (Both directions); from a point 98 metres south west from its intersection with the south western kerbline of A34 Eden Park Roundabout to its junction with Wilmslow Road. 7.5 Tonne HGV Prohibition (Except for Access) at Turnpike Crescent for its entire length. Revoke 7.5 Tonne HGV Prohibition (Except for Access) at Turnpike Crescent (Both directions) for its entire length. Revoke 20mph Speed Limit at Turnpike Crescent (Both directions) for its entire length. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.
