What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (AKESMOOR DRIVE, BROOKLYN ROAD, LAKESIDE GREEN & MILE END LANE OFFERTON) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 11 November 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Road Traffic Act 1991 which will be to introduce 20mph Speed Limit: Akesmoor Drive, Brooklyn Road & Lakeside Green for their full length covering the extent of Adopted Highway. No Waiting at Any Time: Akesmoor Drive both sides from the South Eastern kerb line of Mile End Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a South Easterly direction. Mile End Lane South East side from a point 11 metres South West of the South Western kerb line of Akesmoor Drive in a North Easterly direction to a point 15 metres North East of the North Eastern kerb line of Akesmoor Drive. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
