Rainham Way, Dunton Green, Penshurst Road, Brinnington - Introduce A 20mph Speed Limit
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (RAINHAM WAY, DUNTON GREEN, PENSHURST ROAD, BRINNINGTON) (20MPH SPEEDLIMIT) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph Speed Limit Rainham Way (Both Directions) from its Northern junction with Northumberland Road to its Southern junction with Northumberland Road for its full extent. Penshurst Road (Both Directions) from the junction of Rainham Way to the junction of Middlesex Road for its full extent. Dunton Green (Both Directions) from the junction of Rainham Way to the end of the cul-de-sac. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map and statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be viewed at the following link https://www.stockport.gov.uk/proposed-traffic-regulations-in-your-area However, if you do not have access to the internet, then please contact Legal Services at Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE in order to obtain a hard copy. A copy of the Order and plan may also be viewed at the Town Hall Reception, Town Hall, Stockport SK1 3XE. Any person wishing to object to this proposed Order should write, specifying their grounds for objection, to the undersigned (or by email to traffic@stockport.gov.uk) on or before 9 December 2025 quoting reference ZA/12691732.
