Bridleway 134, Bridleway 135 And Footpath 76, Cheadle And Gatley - Temporary Closure For Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BRIDLEWAY 134, BRIDLEWAY 135 AND FOOTPATH 76, CHEADLE AND GATLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure of Bridleway 134 CG, Bridleway 135 CG, and Footpath 76 CG, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath and bridleways. This Order is necessary to enable works for the ATF4 Ladybrook Valley scheme. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. The following diversion will be provided; Approaching from south side, make use of either Footpath 66 CG or Footpath 76 CG. Approaching from north side, make use of either Footpath 66 CG or Tenement Lane/ Footpath 74 CG, onto 51 HGB. This Order is to come into operation on 30 December 2025 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
