What is happening?

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (KINGSWAY, GATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) NOTICE 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of a Right Turn at Kingsway, Gatley. No southbound right turn from Kingsway on to Gatley Road, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Notice is issued to enable works to repair a gas leak. A diversion will be provided via; Kingsway, Schools Hill Roundabout, and Gatley Road. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians.
This Order will come into operation on 19 November 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: JO/12383644
