THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(MERRIDALE LANE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Merridale Lane in both directions from its junction with Merridale Road to its junction with Compton Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 26 November 2025 until 5 December 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30.
The diversion route is: Compton Road, Chapel Ash, Chapel Ash Island, Chapel Ash, Merridale Road, or Merridale Road, Finchfield Road, Richmond Road, Compton Road.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works by CWC.
