Tunbridge Wells, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA



Berkeley Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1UP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and parking on part of Berkeley Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 11th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Both carriageways of Berkeley Road will be closed and parking prohibited between the junction of Frog Lane and Little Mount Sion, for a distance approximately 35 metres in a North direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Berkeley Road, Little Mount Sion, Mount Sion, Berkeley Road and vice versa.



Chestnut Lane, Matfield, TN12 7JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chestnut Lane, Matfield, on or after 12th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside property number 30 for a distance approximately 85 metres in a Northwest direction to the side of property number 2 Wish Court, weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Colts Hill, Crittenden Road, Chestnut Lane and vice versa.



Smiths Lane, Goudhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smiths Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 12th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 210 metres North of the junction with Clayhill, for approximately 150 metres in a North direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Smiths Lane, Lidwells Lane, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill and vice versa.
