Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA



Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe ME19 5DW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY
ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe, on or after 11th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with Woodgate Road and the junction with Ford Lane, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ford Lane, A20 London Road, Trottiscliffe Road and vice versa.



Morley Road, Tonbridge (TEMPORARY 18T mgw WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict the weight of through traffic on part of Morley Road, Tonbridge, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 548 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will have an 18T mgw weight restriction imposed on Morley Road Bridge. To the extent indicated by signs on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic over 18T mgw is via Vale Road, Sovereign Way and Morley Road.



Park Road, Leybourne, ME19 5HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Road, Leybourne, on or after 26th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 62. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Sweets Lane, East Malling, ME19 6BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sweets Lane, East Malling, on or after 26th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Easterfields. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Rocks Road, Chapel Street, Wateringbury Road, Sweets Lane and vice versa.



Vale Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vale Road, Tonbridge, on or after 25th November 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vale Road, A26 Vale Road, A26 Cannon Lane, A227 Hadlow Road, A227 Bordyke, B2260 High Street, Vale Road and vice versa.
