What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
All Saints Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 3NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow vegetation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of All Saints Road, Sittingbourne from 25th November 2025 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Tonge Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bull Lane, Newington, ME9 7ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow underground structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bull Lane, Newington from 10th December 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Playstool Road and Wormdale Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Playstool Road, A2 London Road, Hartlip, Hill, Lower Hartlip Road, Old House Lane, Bull Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Road, Tonge, ME9 9AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Tonge from 22:00 hours on 24th November 2025, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 25th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hempstead Lane, A2 The Street, A2 Fox Hill, A2 Canterbury Road, Murston Road, Church Road, Tonge Road, Lomas Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dully Road, Tonge, ME9 9PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dully Road, Tonge from 9th December 2025 with estimated completion by 10th December 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Wood Street and Upper Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, The Street, Panteny Lane, Church Street, Kingsdown Road, Dully Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Monkshill Road, Hernhill, Graveney & Highstreet Road, Hernhill. (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION)TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill, Graveney & Highstreet Road, Hernhill from 1st December 2025, with estimated completion by 23rd December 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be imposed on Monkshill Road & Highstreet Road for the entire length of the roads, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
WARDEN ROAD, EASTCHURCH. (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on part of Warden Road, Eastchurch, from 24th November 2025, with estimated completion by 26th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The temporary 30 mph speed restriction will be imposed between the junctions with First Avenue and Fourth Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
This restriction is in conjunction with two-way temporary traffic lights.
West Street, Faversham, ME13 7JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025
To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Faversham from 12th December 2025 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Caslocke Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2040 South Road, Napleton Road, Tanners Street and West Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
