Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 9WP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Sevenoaks Christmas Lights Switch On, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 High Street, Akehurst Lane and Dorset Street, Sevenoaks, on or after 29th November 2025 for up to 1 day.
A225 High Street - between A224 London Road and Pembroke Road
Dorset Street - whole length
Akehurst Lane - whole length
The roads will be closed on 29th November 2025 between 13.30hrs and 19.00hrs.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pembroke Road, A224 London Road and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2176 Moorden Lane, Chiddingstone Causeway, TN11 8JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2176 Moorden Lane, Chiddingstone Causeway, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B2027 Tonbridge Road and B2176 Station Hill.
The alternative route is via B2176 Moorden Lane/Station Hill, Penshurst Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Beesfield Lane, Farningham. DA4 0BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beesfield Lane, Farningham, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 42.
The alternative route is via Beesfield Lane, Maplescombe Lane, Botsom Lane, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill/London Road, A225 Eynsford Road and vice versa.
Carters Hill, Underriver, TN15 0RY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Carters Hill, Underriver, on or after 25th November 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between number 1 Council Cottages and Deane House.
The alternative route is via Carters Hill, Mill Lane, B245 London Road/Tonbridge Road, Dry Hill Park Road, A227 Shipbourne Road, High Cross Road, Stone Street Road, Stone Street, Hall Hill, Grove Road, Park Lane and vice versa.
Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre overhead cabling for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Chantry.
The alternative route is via Chart Lane, A25 High Street/Main Road, Church Road, Ide Hill Road, Sundridge Road, Ide Hill Roundabout, Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill Road From B2042 Ide Hill Road To C307 Ide Hill Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane, Toys Hill and vice versa.
Haven Hill, Hodsoll Street. TN15 7LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new connection to an existing SEW main, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Haven Hill, Hodsoll Street, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Haven Cottage.
The alternative route is via Pease Hill, Malthouse Road, Stansted Hill, Fairseat Lane and vice versa.
High Street, Edenbridge. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of The Edenbridge Community Christmas Fair 2025, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Edenbridge, on or after 29th November 2025 for up to 1 day.
This event will take place on 29th November 2025 from 10:00 to 20:00 culminating in the turning on of the Christmas Lights.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Station Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way and vice versa.
Horton Road, South Darenth. DA4 9BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a bridge examination, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road, South Darenth, on or after 9th December 2025 for up to 2 nights between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20m either side of the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via Station Road, A225 Main Road, Cedar Drive, Devon Road, Holmesdale Road, Horton Road and vice versa.
Lydens Lane, Hever, TN8 7EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lydens Lane, Hever, on or after 28th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between B2026 Hartfield Road and New House Farm Road.
The alternative route is via B2026 Hartfield Road/Mill Hill, Hever Road, New House Farm Road and vice versa.
Mapleton Road, Four Elms, TN8 6PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mapleton Road, Four Elms, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Mapleton Lodge.
The alternative route is via Mapleton Road, B2026 Hosey Common Road/Main Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road and vice versa.
New Road, Penshurst, TN11 8EJ (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order for temporary 40mph speed limit to be imposed on part of B2188 New Road, Penshurst, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The 40mph speed limit applies in both directions on B2188 New Road, Penshurst, between Meadow Corner and Burzes Cottages.
Oak Lane, Sevenoaks. TN13 1HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new service connection to an existing SEW main, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 13th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the Royal Oak Hotel.
The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Brittains Lane, A224 Amherst Hill/London Road, A225 High Street and vice versa.
Shoreham Lane, Halstead. TN14 7EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shoreham Lane, Halstead, on or after 13th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Badgers Cottage.
The alternative route is via Station Road, Clarks Lane and vice versa.
St Davids Road, Hextable, BR8 7RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Davids Road, Hextable, on or after 25th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 14.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7.
The alternative route is via B258 Top Dartford Road, Rowhill Road, Puddledock Lane, St Davids Road and vice versa.
Stangrove Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of gas mains renewal works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stangrove Road, Edenbridge, on or after 27th November 2025 to 5th December 2025 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with B2026 Mont St Aignan Way.
The alternative route is via B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, Lingfield Road, Crouch House Road and vice versa.
Styants Bottom Road, Seal, TN15 0ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Styants Bottom Road, Seal, on or after 25th November 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Pillar Box Lane and Broomsleigh South Lodge.
The alternative route is via Pillar Box Lane, The Brooms, Forge Lane, Styants Bottom Road and vice versa.
The Green, Leigh, TN11 8QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the Installation of underground service cables, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Green, Leigh, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Cherry Tree Cottages.
The alternative route is via The Green, B2027 High Street, Powder Mill Lane and vice versa.
