Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA



Camer Road, Meopham & Sole Street, Cobham DA13 0XR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach pole testing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Camer Road, Meopham and Sole Street, Cobham, on or after 12th December 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Camer Street and The Railway Inn.

The alternative route is via Green Lane, A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West, Singlewell Road, Hever Court Road, Marling Cross Overbridge, Henhurst Road, Jeskyns Road, Sole Street and vice versa.



Crutches Lane, Higham ME3 7DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the replacement of three existing telegraph poles and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crutches Lane, Higham, on or after 10th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Water Works Cottage.

The alternative route is via Crutches Lane, Old Watling Street, A2 Watling Street, B2108 Rede Court Road, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.



Dean Lane, Meopham DA13 0BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the installation of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Lane, Meopham, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cedar Mount.

The alternative route is via Dean Lane, Chandlers Road, Priestwood Road, David Street, Harvel Street and vice versa.



Northfleet Green, Northfleet DA13 9PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northfleet Green, Northfleet, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Flint Cottage.

The alternative route is via Northfleet Green, New Barn Road, Broad Ditch Road, Downs Road and vice versa.



Orchard Avenue, Gravesend, DA11 7RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new gas supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Orchard Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Golf Links Avenue.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Golf Links Avenue, Brenchley Avenue, Singlewell Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Golf Links Avenue Watling Street Singlewell Road and vice versa.



Queen Street, Gravesend, DA12 9GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Street, Gravesend, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with King Street.

The alternative route is via Queen Street, A226 The Terrace, A226 Harmer Street, A226 Berkley Crescent, A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, A226, Lord Street, Windmill Street, Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Rathmore Road, Darnley Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane.



Whitepost Lane, Culverstone DA13 0TH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, on or after 8th December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Oakdene.

The alternative route is via Whitepost Lane, A227 Wrotham Road, Newlands Lane and vice versa.



Whitepost Lane, Gravesend, DA13 0TJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitepost Lane, Culverstone, on or after 24th November 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Ash Keys.

The alternative route is via Whitepost Lane, Newlands Lane, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.
