Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF DOVER)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘), the Traffic Management 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce double yellow lines (DYL) no waiting restrictions at any time on the following length of roads in Whitfield, Dover:-

ALISON CRESCENT - DYL - (1) On the northeast side to a point 10 metres south east of its junction with Cranleigh Drive. (2) On the southwest side from the southern building boundary of 72 Alison Crescent for a distance of 15.3 metres in a north westerly direction. (3) On the east side from a point 12 meters north of its junction with Joyes Road place a bus stop clearway for a distance of 29 metres in a northerly direction. CRANLEIGH DRIVE - DYL - (1) On the east side at its junction with Downside Road for a distance of 46.5 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the east side at its junction with Downside Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. (3) From a point 4 metres south of the northern boundary of number 101 Cranleigh Drive for a distance of 55 metres in a northerly then westerly direction. (4) On the west side from the entrance to Whitfield Recreation Ground for a distance of 26 metres in a southerly then westerly direction. (5) On the south east side of its junction with Alison Crecent for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction. (6) On the south east side place a bus stop clearway from a point 23 metres from its junction with Alison Crescent for a distance of 29 meters in a north westerly direction. DOWNSIDE ROAD - DYL - (1) On the south west side at its junction with Farncombe Way for a distance of 10 metres in a southwesterly direction. (2) On both sides at its junction with Cranleigh Drive for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. FARNCOMBE WAY - DYL - (1) On the south west side to a point 10 metres south east from its junction with Downside Road. (2) On the south side from a point 11 metres from the junction with Loxwood Close place a bus stop clearway for a distance of 29 metres in an easterly direction. KINGSDOWN ROAD, WALMER - DYL - On the east side at its junction with The Beach for a distance of 12 metres in a southerly direction. MAYFIELD ROAD - DYL - On both sides at its junction with Sandwich Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. SANDWICH ROAD - DYL - On the east side at its junction with Mayfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. THE BEACH, WALMER - DYL - On the east side at its junction with Kingsdown Road for a distance to 12 metres in a northerly direction. WORTHINGTON ROAD - Has been updated for administration purposes only.

The Order was made on 20 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 November 2025.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

(AMENDMENT No.14) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYLs) on the following length of roads in Boxley, Maidstone:-

BELLGROVE COURT – DTL – (1) On north side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) On the south side from its junction with Impton Lane for a distance of 13 metres in north westerly direction. BOXLEY ROAD – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 meters northwest and 10 metres southeast from its junction with Brownelow Copse. BROWNELOW COPSE – DYL – (1) On both sides from its junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On south side to a point 11 metres northeast and to a point 11 metres west from its junction with Cossington Road. COSSINGTON ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Brownelow Copse for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. IMPTON LANE – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 metres north east and 10 metres south west of its junction with Bellgrove Court. WALDERSLADE WOODS – DYL – On north side to a point 15 metres east and 15 meters west from its junction with Wildfell Close. WILDFELL CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Wildfell Close for a distance of 23 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order was made on 20 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 November 2025.

SWALE AREA

(AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the above named Order will be to prohibit all vehicles except cycles on the following length of road in Borden, Swale:-

WISES LANE – Prohibit all vehicles except from cycles from entry from its junction with Maylam Gardens to its junction with Platinum Way.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

(VARIOUS ROADS) (BOROUGH OF TONBRIDGE AND MALLING)
(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby the following order:-

The effect of the Order would be to introduce various traffic movements on the following length of roads in Burham and Wouldham, Tonbridge & Malling:-

HIGH STREET, WOULDHAM – Prohibit access at the junction with School Lane (except buses) when travelling in a southerly direction. ROCHESTER ROAD, BURHAM – (1) No right-hand turn into Scarborough Lane and the junction with Rochester Road. (2) No right-hand turn into Church Street at the junction with Rochester Road.

This was an experimental order that is now being made permanent after the trial period and adjustments have been made.

The Order was made on 20 November 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 November 2025.

(AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) and that Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of this Order will be to revoke the Order of 2022 and this Bus Lane/Gate Order would be to allow Buses only on the following length of roads in Tunbridge Wells:-

A26 LONDON ROAD – On its north west side 14 metres north east of its junction with Castle Road for a distance of 85 metres in a north easterly direction.

(VARIOUS ROADS, TUNBRIDGE WELLS) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT No.14) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on the following length of roads in Tunbridge Wells:-

A26 LONDON ROAD – (1) On the north west side DYL and loading restrictions 14 metres from its junction with Castle Road for a distance of 93 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the south east side loading restrictions from its junction with Nevill Street for a distance of 50 metres in a south westerly direction. (3) On the south east side loading restrictions 70 metres from its junction with Nevill Street for a distance of 8.44 metres in a south westerly direction. (4) On the south east side loading restrictions from the southern boundary of 40 London Road for a distance of 26 metres in a south westerly direction.
