What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS 

KENSINGTON HIGH STREET Jnc KENSINGTON CHURCH STREET

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

PROHIBIBITED RIGHT HAND TURN FOR UTILITY WORKS.

Kensington High Street Prohibited right hand turn into Kensington Church Street.

Prohibited right turn to be introduced from 08.00hrs on Monday 24th November 2025 until 17.00hrs on Thursday 27th November 2025, with backup dates of Monday 12th January 2026 until Thursday 15th January 2026, or until the works are completed.

Diverted through traffic may use Kensington High Street, Holland Road, Holland Park Roundabout, Holland Park Avenue, Notting Hill Gate, Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington Mall, Kensington Church Street.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
