Hessle Road Flyover - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Carriageway Only
What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
HESSLE ROAD FLYOVER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 made an Order on 11 November 2025.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Hessle Road flyover between the roundabouts with Brighton Street and North Road, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during inspection to rail spans of Hessle Road flyover.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signposted for the duration of the closure.
Access will not be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 23 November 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed on 23 November (westbound carriageway only) between 12.30am and 5am; and 29 November 2025 from 11pm (eastbound carriageway only) until 30 November 2025 at 6am.
