A456 Hagley Road West, Oldbury - Change to 30 MPH Speed Limit
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The council has made The Borough Council of Sandwell (A456 Hagley Road West, Oldbury) (Amendment of Speed Limit) Order 2025, effective from 13/11/2025, to prohibit any vehicle exceeding a speed of 30mph on any of the lengths of road specified in the schedule to this order. An exemption will apply to the police, fire brigade, and ambulance services. The West Midlands County Council (Hagley Road West) (40 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Order 1983 is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the length of road in the Schedule of this Order. Full details may be examined at the offices of the Executive Director of Place, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 3DE during normal office hours. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order on the grounds that any aspect of the relevant legislation has not been complied with, can apply to the High Court by 31/12/2025.
