(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Boyd Road between property no.2 Boyd Road and property no.16 Boyd Road from 8am on Monday 17th November until 6pm on Friday 21st November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Boyd Road, Flintway and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of new electrical connection).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Fields from the eastern kebline of Guildway to its junction with The Meadows from Tuesday 18th. November until Friday 21st. November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Guildway, The Meadows and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which  will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Cambridge  Street from its junction with Middle Lane to its junction with Gladys Street from 8pm on Thursday 27th November until 6am on Friday 28th November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Middle Lane, Badsley Moor Lane, Central Avenue, Park Road, North Crescent, Cambridge Street and  vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Sewer cleansing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Milton Road from a point approximately 35m south of its junction with Shelley Way to  the end of the cul de sac from Monday 24th November until Friday  28th November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of electrical apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Kid Lane from its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction on Sunday 23rd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be Via New Road, B6463 Lamb Lane and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecommunications maintenance works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Belmont Street and Josephine Road for short periods of time between Thursday 20th November and Tuesday 2nd December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes for vehicles affected by the order.

Residents of properties affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice for short periods of time between Monday 24th November and Friday 19th December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes, the roads are cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 5th November 2025 which comes into effect on the 17th November 2025. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 16th May 2024. The Order shall impose changes to the speed limit affecting the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

SCHEDULE

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

DRAFT LOCAL VALIDATION LIST

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has amended the Local Validation List.

The following provides information about the consultation process.

LOCAL VALIDATION LIST

Rotherham’s Local Plan provides the framework for determining planning applications. Rotherham’s Local Validation List provides the framework for the requirements for supporting documents to accompany planning applications. The Local Validation List provides additional detail and guidance to support applicants on what level of supporting information is required for all application types. Once adopted, it will be used to determine whether planning applications are valid. It is key to ensuring that sufficient information is submitted to enable applications to be determined effectively and efficiently in line with Statutory deadlines on which Local Planning Authorities are measured.

CONSULTATION PERIOD

The Council is seeking comments on the draft Local Validation List from

Monday 17 November until 5pm on Monday 15 December 2025.

Representations cannot be treated as confidential and must be received by 5pm on Monday 15 December 2025.

INSPECTION OF DOCUMENTS

Consultation documents can be viewed on the Council’s consultation website at https://rotherham-consult.objective.co.uk/kse

A consultation response form is available to download from the consultation website or by request from Development Management. Representations on the Local Validation List may also be accompanied by a request to be notified of the adoption of the document.
