Angus District, C14 Collace to Auchtertyre - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting, to allow for the proposed works.

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 10 November 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (C14 Collace to Auchtertyre)

(Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that public utility works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 17 November 2025, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of nine days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on the Collace to Auchtertyre (C14) road from a point 240 metres or thereby south of its junction with the Lintrose to Newtyle to Glamis (C16) road southwards, then westwards for a distance of 1.9km or thereby. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is southbound via the Lintrose to Newtyle to Glamis (C16) and Newton of Ballunie (C14 - C16) roads. The Reverse route applies.
