What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
30 Mph & 40 Mph Speed Limits, Various Roads, Brearton, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make
an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
& Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit
any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any
length of road specified in Schedule 1 below & in excess of 40 mph on any
length of road specified in Schedule 2 below:- Schedule 1 - 30 mph Speed
Limit U2790 (Woolwich Cottage to Warren Lane), from its junction with
Warren Lane/Back Lane in a south-westerly direction for 788 metres. Lily
Gate Lane, for its entirety. Back Lane, for its entirety. Low Moor Lane, from
its junction with the U2790 in a south-easterly direction for 518 metres.
Warren Lane, with its junction with Back Lane/U2790 in an easterly direction
for 319 metres. Schedule 2 - 40 Mph Speed Limit High Moor Lane, from its
junction with the U2790 in a northerly direction for 359 metres. High Moor
Lane, from its junction with the U2790 in a southerly direction for 523 metres.
U2790 (Woolwich Cottage to Warren Lane), from its junction with High Moor
Lane in an easterly direction for 187 metres. A copy of the draft Order,
together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the
Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at
County Hall, Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue, HG1 1EG
during normal office hours from 13/11/25 until 05/12/25 & also viewed online
at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/trafficregulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should
send the grounds for your objection, in writing addressed to The North
Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management, County Hall, Racecourse Lane,
Northallerton, DL7 8AD or by email to

40 Mph Speed Limit, Otley Road, Killinghall, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under
Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of
Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road
specified below:- Otley Road, Killinghall - 40 Mph Speed Limit Otley Road
(B6161/1/98), Killinghall, from a point 40 metres North of its junction with the
A59/4/95 Skipton Road Roundabout to a point 402 metres away in a
Northern Direction measured along the Eastern Kerb Line of the B6161. A
copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a
statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be
inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria
Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 1EG during normal office hours from 13/11/25 until
04/12/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Carr Side Road, Great Ouseburn,
Order 2025, No. 445 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from
using Carr Side Road, Great Ouseburn for a temporary period (subject to
access to premises) between 17/11/25 & 28/11/25, due to drainage works.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 17/01/27. The closure period
will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on
