What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Parking, Main Street, Little Smeaton, Order
2025 No 438 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from
parking on Main Street, Little Smeaton due to works / potential danger to the
public, serious damage to the footpath, little clearing & cleaning. It is
envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 24/11/25 until 27/02/26
inclusive, however the max duration of this Order will be until 27/03/26. The
restriction period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs. All

40 Mph Speed Limit, New Road, Ulleskelf, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that on 31/10/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under
Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of
Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road
specified below. New Road, Ulleskelf, Westerly direction from the existing
30mph speed limit for 300m. A copy of the Order, which comes into
operation on 10/11/25, may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at
Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JG during normal office
hours from 06/11/25 until 12/12/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/trafficregulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any
provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the
grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it,
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks
of 31/10/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Mount Pleasant, Little Smeaton, Order
2025, No. 441 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from
using Mount Pleasant, Little Smeaton for a temporary period (subject to
access to premises) between 24/11/25 & 27/02/26, due to drainage works.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 27/03/26. The closure period
will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on
