What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment
No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council
proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) &
35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the
1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will
be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting &
Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation Order 2013”
by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:- Table - Schedule
1 - Waiting Prohibited At All Times With Exemptions Wistow, Pinfold Hill,
Northern side of road from junction markings (with Church Hill) for 92m. A
copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a
statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be
inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate,
Selby, YO8 4EQ during normal office hours from 13/11/25 to 04/12/25 & also
viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
addressed to Area 7 Selby Highways Office, Canal Road, Selby, North
Yorkshire YO8 8AG or by email to Area7.Selby@northyorks.gov.uk or via the
website link above by 04/12/25.
30 Mph Speed Limit, Gravelhill Lane, Whitley, Order 2025 Notice is
hereby given that on 07/11/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order
under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV
of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on the length of road
specified below. Gravelhill Lane, Whitley, Southwest direction from its current
location (105m west of Cathcart Close) for 327m. A copy of the Order, which
comes into operation on 17/11/25, may be examined at County Hall,
Northallerton & at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate, Selby, YO8 4EQ during
normal office hours from 13/11/25 until 19/12/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/trafficregulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any
provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the
grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it,
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks
of 07/11/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.

No 65, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that on 07/11/25 The North
Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1)
& 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to
the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is
to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading
& Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation Order 2013” by
introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:- Prohibition of
Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking Hillam, Main Street, North East
side from a point from the drop kerb of Manor House to 11m north west of
the drop kerb - Waiting Prohibited at all Times. Hillam, Chapel Street, North
side from a point from the drop cross of High Gables to 43m north west of
the drop kerb - Waiting Prohibited at all Times. A copy of the Order, which
comes into operation on 17/11/25, together with a map showing the roads
affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Sherburn &
Villages Community Library, Finkle Hill, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6EA during
normal office hours from 13/11/25 to 19/12/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/trafficregulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of
any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Mill Lane, Ryther, Order 2025, No. 464
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Mill Lane,
Ryther for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between
01/12/25 & 19/12/25, due to Sewer connection works. However, the max
duration of this Order is until 01/03/26. The closure period will be indicated
by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where

the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at
County Hall, Northallerton & at Tadcaster Community Library, Station Road,
Tadcaster LS24 9JG during normal office hours from 13/11/25 to 04/12/25 &
also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
