Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The GLA Roads and GLA Side Roads (Tower Hamlets) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2008
The A11, A1210 and A13 (Mansell Street, Mile End Road and Commercial Road) (E-Scooter and Cycle Bays) Variation Order 2025
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 6th November 2025 it made the above named Order, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order will come into force on 15th November 2025.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) add hireable cycles as a permitted vehicle to use the at any time hireable e-scooter only bay on the northern footway of the A11 Mile End Road between a point 2 metres east of the common boundary of Nos.69 to 79 and 81 Mile End Road and a point 15 metres westwards;
(2) add hireable cycles as a permitted vehicle to use the at any time hireable e-scooter only bay on the eastern footway of the A1210 Mansell Street from a point 4.7 metres north of the northern kerb-line of the northern vehicular access to Royal Mint Court and a point 5 metres northwards;
(3) add hireable cycles as a permitted vehicle to use the at any time hireable e-scooter only bay on the eastern footway of the A1210 Mansell Street from a point 4.5 metres north-west of the extended south-eastern building line of the Sedgwick Centre, No.5 Whitechapel High Street and a point 5 metres north-westwards;
(4) add hireable cycles as a permitted vehicle to use the at any time hireable e-scooter only bay on the eastern footway of the A1210 Mansell Street from a point 6 metres southwest of the extended northern building line of The Registry, No.3 Royal Mint Court to a point 5 metres south-westwards;
(5) remove the at any time hireable e-scooter only bay on the north-eastern footway of the A13 Commercial Road outside Central House No.61 Whitechapel High Street.
3. The roads which would be affected by the Order are the A11 Mile End Road, A1210 Mansell Street and A13 Commercial Road.
4. A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at: https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro, and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. 5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
