What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (SEEDFIELD AREA, BURY) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

A 20 mph speed limit will apply to the following streets:

Pine CloseFull length
Lotus GroveFull length
Seedfield CloseFull length
A copy of the Order which comes into operation on Monday 6th April 2026, a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at traffic.calming@bury.gov.uk quoting reference TM34/25/16

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 5th November 2025 apply to the High Court for that purpose. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-
