What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(WOODLANDS AVENUE, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodlands Avenue, Thongsbridge from a point outside property no. 8 to a point outside property no. 14

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Woodlands Avenue, Miry Lane, Luke Lane, Woodlands Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1 December 2025 and remain in force until 5 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(DEAN ROAD/WICKINS LANE, UPPERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Holmfirth on a rolling programme as follows:-
Dean Road - from its junction with Wickins Lane for approximately 118 metres in a northwesterly direction Wickins Lane - from its junction with Back Lane to its junction with Dean Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available as follows:-

Dean Road - via Wickins Lane, Broad Lane, Ash Grove Road, Greenfield Road, Thick Hollins Road, Dean Road and vice versa.

Wickins Lane - via Wickins Lane, Wolfstones Road, Bradshaw Road, Thick Hollins Road, Dean Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1 December 2025 and remain in force until 12 December 2025 on a rolling programme (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOODBOTTOM ROAD, NETHERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodbottom from its junction with Lea Lane to a point outside property no. 14

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Lea Lane, Netherton Fold, Moor Lane, Meltham Road, Church Lane, Huddersfield Road, Crosland Factory Lane, Woodbottom Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 4 December 2025 and remain in force until 19 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BARNSLEY ROAD, FLOCKTON, WAKEFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Barnsley Road, Flockton at a point outside property no. 263

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Barnsley Road, Bar Lane, Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Westgate End, Horbury Road, Northfield Lane, Southfield Lane, Bridge Road, New Road, Wakefield Road, Barnsley Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 and remain in force until 4 December 2025 (between 20:00 - 05:00 hours each day) (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STONEY BATTERY ROAD, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD ) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stoney Battery Road, Crosland Moor, Huddersfield from its junction with A62 Manchester Road to its junction with Canal Bridge

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via PROW HUD/269/10 and HUD/269/20.

There is no alternative diversionary route for vehicles available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 13 November 2025 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 27 October 2025 and will remain in force until 12 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ELMWOOD CLOSE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Elmwood Close, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 12 Elmwood Close to a point outside property no. 18 Elmwood Close

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion required - access will be maintained.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 November 2025 and remain in force until 21 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MORLEY LANE, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Morley Lane, Milnsbridge at the right hand turn on Yates Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Morley Lane, Manchester Road, Longroyd Lane, Market Street, Church Street, Lowergate, Market Street, Yates Lane left hand lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 November 2025 20:00 and remain in force until 18 November 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BANKHOUSE ROAD, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 4) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bankhouse Road, Milnsbridge, from its junction with Lower Gate to its junction with Bankhouse Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Clockwise from Bankhouse Lane - Bankhouse Lane, George Street, Dowker Street, Armitage Road, Market Street, Lower Gate Anti clockwise from Lower Gate - Lower Gate, Market Street, George Street, Bankhouse Lane

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 November 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CROW TREES ROAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Crow Trees Road, Marsden from its junction with White Hill to a point approximately just before property no. 7 Crow Trees Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Crow Trees Road, Kettle Lane, Park Gate Road, Marsden Lane, Warehouse Hill Road, Peel Street, Manchester Road, West Slaithwaite Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 18 November 2025 22:00 and remain in force until 19 November 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(FIELD END LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Field End Lane, Holmbridge, from its junction with Woodhead Road to a point outside property no.1 Field Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Field End Lane, Bank Top Lane, Fieldhead Lane, Woodhead Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 19 November 2025 and remain in force until 26 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(REDDISHER ROAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Reddisher Road, Marsden, from approximately 80 metres east of its junction with Station Road for approximately 130 metres along Reddisher Road 
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Reddisher Road, Station Road, Church Lane, Fall Lane, Manchester Road, Ainsley Lane, Reddisher Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence Wednesday 19 November 2025 22:00 and remain in force until 20 November 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VICTORIA STREET/TOWN GATE/HUDDERSFIELD ROAD, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Holmfirth:-
Victoria Street - from its junction with Huddersfield Road to its junction with Town Gate
Town Gate - from its junction with Victoria Place (Ironmongers/Zebra Crossing) to a point outside Station Road Car Park/Masonic Hall
Huddersfield Road - from its junction with Hightown Lane to a point outside Holmfirth Library

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Victoria Street - via Town Gate, A635 Station Road/New Mill Road/ Holmfirth Road, A616 Huddersfield Road/New Mill Road, A6024 Woodhead Road/Huddersfield Road and vice versa;
Town Gate - via A635 Station Road/ New Mill Road/Holmfirth Road, A616 Huddersfield Road/New Mill Road, A6024 Woodhead Road/Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street and vice versa; Huddersfield Road - via A6024 Huddersfield Road, A635 Greenfield Road/Holmfirth Road/Manchester Road/Wakefield Road, Stamford Street, Mottram Road, A628 Manchester Road/Woodhead Road, A616 Whams Road/Sheffield Road/ Huddersfield Road/New Mill Road, A62024 Woodhead Road/Huddersfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 and remain in force as follows:-

Victoria Street - from Wednesday 19 November 2025 to 23 November 2025 (between 20:00 - 06:00 hours only Town Gate - from 22 November 2025 to 28 November 2025 (between 20:00 - 06:00 hours only
Huddersfield Road - from 1 December 2025 to 13 December 2025 (between 20:00 - 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CINDER HILLS ROAD/SANDY GATE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cinder Hills Road/Sandy Gate from its junction with Upper Bank Road to its junction with Paris/Scholes Moor Road 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Scholes Moor Road, Cross Lane, Cross Gate Road, Dunford Road, South Lane, Cinder Hills Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 November 2025 and remain in force until 21 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PINFOLD LANE, FLOCKTON, WAKEFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pinfold Lane, Flockton from its junction with Barnsley Road to its junction with Clough Road

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Out Lane, Netherthong from its junction with Town Gate to a point opposite property No. 2

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wooldale Road, Wooldale from a point outside property no. 48 Wooldale Road to a point approximately near the church

(BIRKHOUSE LANE, MOLDGREEN, HUDDERSFIELD WITH POINT CLOSURES ON VIEW STREET AND RAVENS AVENUE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed to proceed in the following roads in Moldgreen:-

Birkhouse Lane - from a point outside property no. 38 to a point outside property no. 46 Birkhouse Lane Point closures
View Street - at its junction with Birkhouse Lane

(BROCKHOLES LANE, BROCKHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brockholes Lane, Brockholes, Holmfirth, from a point outside property no. 100 to the railway bridge

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Brockholes Lane, New Mill Road, Thurstonland Bank Road, The Village, Marsh Hall Lane, Hall Ing Road, Brockholes Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 19 November 2025 and remain in force until 20 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
