Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles (including cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Wilderness Road (D4017) Guildford which extends from its junction with (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-pass Guildford to its junction with (D4017) Queen Eleanors Road.

Alternative Route: Queen Eleanors Road, Wilderness Road, The Crossways, Manor Way, and A3 Guildford – Godalming By-pass Guildford or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate electrical works for, or on behalf of UKPN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out overnight, between 8:00pm and 5:00am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency service vehicles will not be maintained through the close. Access for residents and cyclists will be maintained via the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to facilitate gas main replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works which will be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which will be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for cyclists will be maintained when safe to do so via the alternative walkway.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Schedule

1. that length of D6921 Green Lane, West Molesey which extends from its junction with D6917 Molesey Park Road to a point 20m southwards. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 24 November 2025 and 8 December 2025.

Alternative Route – Molesey Park Road, Nightingale Road and Beauchamp Road or the same route in reverse;

2. that length of D6921 Nightingale Road, West Molesey which extends from its junction with D6917Molesey Park Road to a point 20m northwards. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 1 December 2025 and 15 December 2025.

Alternative Route – (a) Island Farm Road, Pool Road, Molesey Road, Walton Road and Spencer Road or the same route in reverse; (b) Ray Road and Beauchamp Road and; (c) Beauchamp Road, Ray Road Island Farm Road, Pool Road, Molesey Road, Walton Road and Spencer Road or the same route in reverse.

3. that length of D6917 Molesey Park Road, West Molesey which extends from its junction with D6916 Spencer Road to its junction with D6921 Nightingale Road. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 1 December 2025 and 26 January 2026 and are anticipated to be in carried out in phases.

Alternative Route – Island Farm Road, Pool Road, Molesey Road, Walton Road and Spencer Rd or the same route in reverse.

D3191 Prune Hill, Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3191 Prune Hill, Englefield Green that is crossed by the “Rusham Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20m either side.

This Traffic Order is required by Network Rail to enable essential inspections and/or repair and/or maintenance works, including signals and telecoms repairs and/or lifting and inspection of the level crossing.

These works are anticipated to be carried out in within 3 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases:- (i) between the hours of 11pm on 24 November 2025 and 5am on 25 November 2025, and (ii) between the hours of 11:50pm and 4:30am, for 2 nights from 15 December 2025, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route:- Prune Hill, Whitehall Lane, Manorcrofts Road, Station Road, High Street, Egham Hill and Bakeham Lane.

B2129 Station Road and B2129 The Street, Wonersh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made  the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of B2129 Station Road and B2129 The Street, Wonersh.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus Services/Thames Water to carry out water mains installation and/or connection and/or maintenance works in B2129 The Street, Wonersh between “Park Cottage” and “Tankards”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates.

Alternative route: – The Street, Wonersh Common, Kings Road, Horsham Road, Station Road and The Street.

East Shalford Lane (D205) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 7 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Shalford Lane (D205) Guildford as extends from its junction with The Street (A281) to the access for the property known as “Sawmill”.

Alternative route – Tilehouse Road, Pilgrims Way and A281 (Shalford Road and The Street), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling works and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 November 2025 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Guildford Street (D3291) Staines-Upon-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 7 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Guildford Street (D3291) Staines-Upon-Thames.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate water main repairs and associated works

 These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 November 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Hogshill Lane (D6885) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Hogshill Lane (D6885) Cobham; (b) Suspend “The Borough of Elmbridge (Hogshill Lane, Cobham) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1974” or any One-Way Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: (A245) Between Streets, Anyards Road, Freelands Road, Tartar Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of underground cabling works for, or on behalf of Buko Traffic and Safety.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, either via road plates or the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Rosemary Lane (D179) Alfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Rosemary Lane (D179) Alfold.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of HV cabling works for, or on behalf of Fulcrum.

 These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Horsham Road (A281) Alfold
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2025

On 12 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (a) Horsham Road (A281) Alfold as extends from its junction with (B2130) Elmbridge Road and for a distance of 300 metres in a southerly direction; (b) Horsham Road (A281) Alfold as extends from its junction with (B2130) Elmbridge Road and for a distance of 210 metres in a northerly direction; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Bramley and Cranleigh in the Borough of Waverley) (30 mph 40 mph and 50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2009” insofar as it affects that length of road specified and described in this Notice.

This Temporary Speed Limit Order is required to facilitate traffic signal refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, 5pm and 9pm, extended hours, Monday to Friday, and 8am and 3pm Saturdays, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary speed limit and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Eashing Lane (D94) Milford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eashing Lane (D94) Milford as extends from its junction with Portsmouth Road (A3100) to the southern boundary of the property known as “1 Eashing Lane”.

Alternative route – A3100 (Portsmouth Road), A283 (Guildford Road) and Eashing Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate a pipe repair and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 December 2025 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00pm and 5.00am.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, buses, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Kingston Road (C248) Ashford and Staines-Upon-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingston Road (C248) Ashford and Staines- Upon-Thames as extends from its junction with Kingston Road (B377) to its junction with Petersfield Avenue (D3276).

Alternative route – Kingston Road, A308 (London Road), A30 (Staines By-Pass), A308 (Staines By-Pass) and B377 (Kingston Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate the construction of four pedestrian refuge islands and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 December for 5 weeks.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Keens Lane (D54) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Keens Lane (D54) Guildford as extends from its junction with Deacon Way (X7305) to the access for the properties known as numbers 9 to 23 Keens Lane.

Alternative route – Keens Lane, Tangley Lane and A322 (Worplesdon Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Buko Traffic and Safety to facilitate the installation of underground service cables and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 8 December 2025 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 11.59pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Seale Road (C21) Elstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Seale Road (C21) Elstead as extends from its junction with (B3001) Farnham Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Turners Farm”.

Alternative Route: Seale Road, Littleworth Road, Suffield Lane, Fulbrook Lane, and (B3001) Farnham Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 December 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

D646 Effingham Common Road, Effingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D646 Effingham Common Road Effingham (the service road fronting the properties known as “Brookfield” to “Phoenix Cottage”).

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 December 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Alternative Route – C43 Effingham Common Road.
