What is happening?
(SOLWAY GATE BUSINESS PARK ACCESS ROAD, DUMFRIES) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Traffic Regulation Order will be to impose No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on specified lengths of Solway Gate Business Park Access Road, Dumfries.

Objectors must state their reasons in writing to the Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries DG1 2HR, to be received by 05/12/25.
(A780 ANNAN ROAD & C208N GEORGETOWN ROAD – PARKING SUSPENSION) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER) ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on A780 Annan Road, Dumfries from No.187 to No.225, (both sides), and C208n Georgetown Road, Dumfries, from the mini roundabout at Annan Road to No. 9 (both sides), from 0900 on 25/11/25 to 1900 on 02/12/2025, and only when indicated by display of signs appropriate under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. The temporary suspension of parking is necessary to facilitate Traffic Management in association with Scottish Water mains flow and pressure checks.
(C8N COLLIN – JERICHO BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) NO.3 ORDER 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C8n from the junction of A709 towards West Roucan Cottages, Low Road, Tinwald from 0800 on 25/11/25 to 1700 on 29/11/25. The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water lead pipe renewal. Alternative route available via A709, C9n, C8n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (AE) (VARIOUS SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Details may be inspected between 14/11/2025 and 31/12/2025 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 030 33 33 3000). Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the Statutory powers set out in the Act or relevant regulations, or that any requirement of the Act or relevant regulations has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the Court of Session.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING PLACES) (NITHSDALE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Order will be to provide new Disabled Persons’ Parking Places and consolidate existing Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Orders at various locations within the Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway as detailed in the schedule to the Order.
