Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
Temporary Road Closure Order On Albert Street, Victoria Street Derby
When: 08 December 2025 to 09 December 2025 (20:00 to 05:00 – Overnight)
Where: Albert Street, from its junction with Morledge and Tenant Street to its junction with Victoria Street, Cornmarket and St Peters Street. Victoria Street, from its junction with Albert Street, Cornmarket and St Peters Street to its junction with The Strand, St James Street and Wardwick.
Reason: Construction and planters work
Alternative Route: Corporation Street – Morledge – Traffic Street – Bradshaw Way – Lara Croft Way – Mercian Way – Curzon Street – Cheapside – The Strand – Wardwick.
Temporary Road Closure And Temporary Suspension Of One-Way Orders On Duffield Road, Kedleston Road, Kedleston Street, Garden Street, Derby
When: 08 December 2025 to 19 December 2025 (20:00pm - 06:00am)
Where: Phase 1: Closure of Kedleston Road, from its junction with Garden Street to its junction with Duffield Road. Left Hand Lane of Kedleston Road open to traffic to Duffield Road (U-turn Only) Phase 2: Closure of Duffield Road, from Five Lamps junction to St Alkmund’s Way/King Street. Closure and One Way Suspension of Kedleston Street, from Duffield Road to Garden Street. Closure of Right Hand Lane Garden Street, from Lodge Lane to West Avenue. Garden Street, Left Hand Lane open to traffic to Kedleston Road.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing
Alternative Route: Phase 1: St Alkmunds Way – Ford Street – Friar Gate – Ashbourne Road – Queensway (A38) – Kedleston Road Phase 2: Southbound: Duffield Road – Queensway (A38) – Ashbourne Road – Friar Gate – Bridge Street – Agard Street – Ford Street – St Alkmund’s Way Northbound: St Alkmund’s Way – Ford Street – Friar Gate – Ashbourne Road – Queensway (A38) – Duffield Road. Garden Street, Left Hand Lane open to traffic to Kedleston Road.
