TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON GREYSHOTT AVENUE AND ADJOINING ROADS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to implement no waiting at any time restrictions as described below:

Between its junction with Patchway Drive and a point approximately 15 metres north thereof.

Charfield Close

Both

Between its junction with Patchway Drive and a point approximately 10 metres east thereof.

Cromhall Close

Between its junction with Patchway Drive and a point approximately 10 metres south thereof.

Greyshott Avenue

North

(i) Between a point 35 metres east of its junction with Greyshott Avenue (Leading to property Nos 18–38) and a point approximately 40 metres east of that point.

(ii) Between a point 60 metres west of its junction Peak Lane and a point approximately 35 metres west of that point.


South

Between a point 35 metres west of its junction with Peak Lane and a point approximately 35 metres west of that point.


East

Between a point 35 metres north of its junction with Langstone Walk and a point approximately 20 metres north of that point.


West

(i) Between a point 50 metres east of its junction with Sharpness Close and a point approximately 70 metres north of that point.

(ii) Between a point 40 metres south of its junction with Patchway Drive and a point approximately 35 metres south of that point.

Oldbury Way

Both

Between its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 10 metres west thereof.


North

Between a point 80 metres west of its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 5 metres west of that point.


South

(i) Between a point 30 metres west of its junction with Pilning Close and a point approximately 5 metres west of that point.

(ii) Between a point 30 metres west of its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 25 metres west of that point.

Patchway

Drive

East

(i) Between its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 35 metres north thereof.

(ii) Between a point 45 metres north of its junction with Charfield Close and a point approximately 35 metres north of that point.

(iii) Between a point 40 metres north of its junction with Aust Road and a point approximately 10 metres north-west of that point.


West

(i) Between its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 10 metres north thereof.

(ii) Between a point 95 metres north of its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 30 metres north of that point.

(iii) Between a point 25 metres north of its junction with Cromhall Close and a point approximately 5 metres north-west of that point.

Pilning Close

Both

Between its junction with Oldbury Way and a point approximately 20 metres south thereof.

Sharpness Close

Both

Between its junction with Oldbury Way and a point approximately 20 metres south thereof.

Sibland Close

Both

Between its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 10 metres south thereof.

Tortworth Close

Both

Between its junction with Greyshott Avenue and a point approximately 10 metres east thereof.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS:

All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2111/KK, by Friday 12th December 2025. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as: "The Hampshire (Fareham) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2023 (Variation No.7) Order 2025."
