Various Locations, Oxton - Prohibited From Waiting, Loading And Unloading (Both Side) (At All Times)
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, OXTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (N25-359)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Oxton in the District of Newark and Sherwood The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Oxton Bye Pass, Oxton - From its junction with Nottingham Road to its junction with Ollerton Road.
b. Ollerton Road, Oxton - From its junction with Oxton Bye Pass to its junction with Old Rufford Road
c. Nottingham Road, Oxton - From its junction with Main Street in a south westerly direction for 500 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both side) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Oxton Bye Pass, Oxton - From its junction with Nottingham Road to its junction with Ollerton Road.
b. Ollerton Road, Oxton - From its junction with Oxton Bye Pass to its junction with Old Rufford Road
c. Nottingham Road, Oxton - From its junction with Main Street in a south westerly direction for 500 metres3.
All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours only
From Monday 17th November until Saturday 29th November 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A6097 - A612 Nottingham Road, A6211 Colliery Way, B684 Mapperley Plains, A614 Ollerton Road/ Old Rufford Road and vice versa
B6386 - Whinbush Lane, A614 Old Rufford Road and vice versa
B6386 - B6386 Epperstone Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 17th November 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
