Runnymede - Off-Street Parking Places Amendment Order

What is happening?

BOROUGH OF RUNNYMEDE
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) (NO.4) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Runnymede Borough Council propose to make the above-named Order under Sections 32 and 35(1) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.

The effect of this Order will be to amend the Borough of Runnymede (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2008 as shown below:

(i) to designate the following locations as parking places under the 2008 Order:

- Heathervale

- Englefield Green

- Abbeyfield

- Frank Muir Memorial Field

- Ottershaw Memorial Field

- Hythe Park

And for these six parking places to introduce charges of first 3 hours free and then £2.80 per day with the offer of up to 20 permits per parking place at an annual cost of £100.00.

(ii) The standardisation of a two-hour 'no return period' across ALL off-street parking places included in the 2008 Order as amended.

(iii) Extending the free period for Homewood from 90 minutes to three hours

A copy of the draft Order and Statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at the address given below. Any objection to the proposed Order should be sent in writing, stating the grounds of objection, to the Corporate Head of Law and Governance, Runnymede Borough Council, Civic Centre, Station Road, Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 2AH (Email address: mario.leo@runnymede.gov.uk) and be received by Monday 8 December 2025 at the latest.
