Various Roads, Birmingham - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Highway Maintenance Works

What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BIRMINGHAM) (201125B)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be;

(i) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along WOOD LANE, PYPE HAYES between its junction with Bromford Road and its junction with Ashold Farm Road.

(ii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along WESTBOURNE AVENUE, BROMFORD AND HODGE HILL between its junction with Eastbourne Avenue and its junction with Stechford Road.

(iii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along QUESLETT ROAD, OSCOTT between its junction with Brockwell Road and its junction with Lambeth Road.

(iv) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along STREETLY ROAD, STOCKLAND GREEN between its junction with Shorth Heath Road and its junction with Reservoir Road.

(v) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along BROMWICH DRIVE, SUTTON TRINITY.

(vi) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along THETFORD ROAD, PERRY BARR between its junction with Turnberry Road and its junction with Foden Road.

(vii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along KINGSTANDING ROAD, KINGSTANDING between its junction with Kings Road and its junction with College Road.

The temporary Order is required to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order will be signposted and access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.

These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Order will come into operation on 20th November 2025 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
