New Road - Proposed Parking Places And Amendment To Waiting Restrictions
What is happening?
PROPOSED PARKING PLACES AND AMENDMENT TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS, NEW ROAD
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: The Portsmouth City Council (New Road)(Waiting Restrictions) Order 2025
The effect of the Order would be:
1. To remove "No waiting at any time" restrictions (double yellow lines) on New Road - south side, approximately 5 metres long, between the marked bus stop and existing "no waiting at any time" restriction at the junction of New Road and Copnor Road.
2. Copies of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons and Map are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search 'Traffic Regulation Orders 2025" at
Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 023 9260 6480.
3. Persons wishing to object to or make other representations with regard to these proposals must do so in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made. Representations must be sent to
or by post to TRO team, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Portsmouth PO1 2NE, quoting ref P030-25 within 21 days of the date of this Notice (i.e. by 5 December 2025).
