ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U6510 JOHN STREET ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6510 John Street from its junction with West View heading westwards for a distance of 130 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th December 2025 until the 8th June 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th December 2025 until the 10th December 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th June 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via West View, Station Road Back, John Street and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of the Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U6527 POPLAR STREET SYCAMORE STREET BACK LANE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6527 Poplar Street Sycamore Street Back Lane from its junction with First Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 30 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th December 2025 until the 19th December 2025. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th December 2025 until the 12th December 2025, the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th December 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Second Avenue, Maple Street Sycamore Street Back Lane and First Avenue and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

BLYTH VALLEY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NUMBER 104
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Blyth Valley Public Bridleway No 104, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Blyth Valley Public Bridleway No 104
From a point on the A192 road 30 metres east of The Close in a southerly direction for a distance of 75 metres to a point on the north bank of the Seaton Burn immediately to the west of Hollywell Bridge.
There is no alternative route available.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th November until the 29th November 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council, Neighbourhood Services in the interests of public safety, to facilitate drainage and surface construction works.

U6520 PROSPECT PLACE NEWBIGGIN-BY-THE-SEA
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6520 Prospect Place Newbiggin-by-the-Sea from its junction with High Street heading northwards for a distance of 10 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th November 2025 until the 19th December 2025 It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th November 2025 until the 28th November 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th December 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via High Street, New King Street, Moor End Villas, Prospect Place and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to connect a new service pipe. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

(WBTC CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 5th November 2025 the Northumberland County Council (WBTC Christmas Lights Switch On) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”).
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of WBTC Christmas Lights Switch On (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the A193 Front Street West in Bedlington from it’s junction with Church Lane to it’s junction with Windsor Gardens for a distance of 200 metres (“the Road”).
The TTRO shall come into force at 11:00 hours on the 29th November 2025 and will remain in force until 21:00 hours on the 29th November 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Vulcan Place, Schalksmuhle Road, Choppington Lane and vice versa in Bedlington and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
