What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS,
ON STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES
AND TAXI STANDS) (AMENDMENT NO 4) ORDER 2024
(“AMENDMENT NO 4 ORDER”)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 11 November 2025 Blackpool Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Blackpool) Order 2003 (Statutory Instrument No 2677) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions as specified below:

RESTRICTIONS TO BE INTRODUCED

1. No waiting at anytime on sections of Annan Crescent, Back Beardshaw Avenue, Back Exchange Street, Bickerstaffe Street, Caxton Avenue, Chaucer Place, Clifton Road, Collins Avenue, Langdale Road, Livet Avenue, Alleyway at the rear of 34-52 Marsden Road, Moor Park Avenue, Moss House Road, Norbreck Road, Plymouth Road, Promenade, Queens Promenade, Vicarage lane, West View Whitegate Drive, Woodridge Avenue

2. No waiting at any time and no loading at any time on sections of Harrowside,

3. Loading only on sections of Clifton Drive

4. No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-5pm on School entrance markings at Common Edge Road

5. No stopping at any time except taxis on sections of the Promenade

6. Pay and Display 10am - 8pm 10 hours no return within 24 hours on sections of the Promenade

The Order will come into force on 24 November 2025.

A copy of the Order as made, along with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act of 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
