What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(DAVIDSON’S MAINS AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2025 - TEMP/25/139

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate a safe working area for Paragon Energy Networks to carry out Power and Water Utility works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of East Barnton Gdns, from the extended west kerbline of Quality St, westwards for 25m; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) East Barnton Gdns, from the extended west kerbline of Quality St, westwards for 25m; (ii) Quality St La, from the west building line of No.4 Quality St La, westwards to the extended east kerbline of Quality St; (iii) Quality St, from the extended south kerbline of Main St, Davidson’s Mains, southwards to the extended north kerbline of Quality St La; & (iv) Cramond Rd Sth, from the extended north kerbline of Main St, Davidson’s Mains, northwards for 29m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b). The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closure of East Barnton Gdns will be by way of Cramond Rd Sth, Barnton Ave & East Barnton Ave.

The Order shall have effect from 17/11/25 to 31/1/26.
