Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which:

North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.19) Order 2025

Ref: PSWLP/DB/2513

Will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to extend existing double yellow lines in Long Ashton. Create a new loading bay and extend existing loading bay, in Weston-super-Mare. The extent of the proposals are as described in the Schedule to this notice. Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the powers of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which is:

Burlington Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 29 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-212

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 29 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Burlington Street from junction with Hopkins Street, road closed eastwards on Burlington Street for approximately 42m.

Footpath Mead Vale to Starling Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 2 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-215

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access a carriageway box to provide service to a customer. This order will become operative on the 2 February 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 4 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-216

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for carrying out safety testing and maintenance works. This order will become operative on the 4 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 24 November 2025

Ref: T25-63

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of work being executed on and near the road by North Somerset Council to construct Banwell Bypass including highway and utilities works. This will become operative on the 24 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Knightcott Road from the junction with Summer Lane to the junction with Knightcott Gardens. Locking Moor Road from the junction with Summer Lane to the junction with Banwell Road.

Alternative Routes – Knightcott Road, West Street, East Street, Towerhead Road, Station Road, Greenhill Road, Dingshurst Road, Bristol Road, Stock Lane, Brinsea Road, High Street, Station Road, Weston Road, Bristol Road, Somerset Avenue, Locking Moor Road and vice-versa.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Footpaths Associated with Blackthorn Gardens, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 24 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay new duct. This order will become operative on the 24 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Gigaclear for customer connection. This order will become operative on the 27 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 8am and 4.45pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 27 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 30 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide fibre overhead cabling works. This order will become operative on the 30 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made an order the effect of which:

B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Order 2025

Date coming into force: 24 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of carriageway resurfacing and will become operative on 24 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. It is anticipated the closures on each road will be at night-time only from 7pm to 5am and will take place on B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-super-Mare in 2 phases with a period of approximately 3 weeks between each phase.

Schedule – B3440, Bristol Road Weston-super-Mare (westbound) from its on slip from Somerset Avenue to near the bus stop. B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-super-Mare (eastbound) from the bus stop until the top of the slip road onto Somerset Avenue.
