What is happening?
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 COUNTY OF DEVON DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 37, COMBE MARTIN)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025 DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 38, COMBE MARTIN) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that, no representations or objections having been received, Devon County Council has confirmed the above Orders as unopposed.
The effect of the Orders as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a footpath from the county road, Wet Lane, along Rock Lane to the county road, Castle Street, and adding a footpath from the county road, High Street, A399, along Water Lane to Combe Martin Footpath No. 1, Park Lane, in Combe Martin village, in the parish of Combe Martin and administrative district of North Devon.
Copies of the Orders and the Order maps may be seen free of charge by appointment with the:- Public Rights of Way Service, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter, EX2 7NL; North Devon District Council, Lynton House, Commercial Road, Barnstaple, EX31 1DG; Clerk to Combe Martin Parish Council; and online at www.devon.gov.uk/haveyoursay. Copies of the Orders and the Order maps can also be sent to you by post free of charge by contacting the case officer on 01392 383240.
An application for any of the reasons stated in Paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 may be made to the High Court to quash the Order(s) within 42 days of the date of publication of this Notice.
